Addy Turiano

Clinical Mental Health Counseling - Lipscomb University

Addy is a graduate student at Lipscomb University where she is completing her Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to graduate school, Addy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development from the University of Arizona. Being born and raised in Southern California, Addy offers clients a welcoming, laid-back smile while also providing a gentle challenge when it's necessary for change. Addy holds a strong passion and commitment to “giving it to you straight.” Her goal is for clients to leave every session knowing she gave them her all.

Addy specializes in treating children, adolescent, couples, and families. She is interested in multicultural issues, particularly those affecting family members with different ethnic backgrounds. Everyone has a culture--sometimes it's a clash of cultures that sets off sparks.

Addy spends her free time taking her dogs (Boxer and German Shepard-Lab) on outdoor adventures around Nashville (you can find them in the summer cruising with the windows down and tongues out). She also enjoys weightlifting, cooking, and traveling to learn about new cultures.

Alex Speer

Marriage and Family Therapy - Lipscomb University

Alex is a graduate student at Lipscomb University where she is working on her Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy. She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lipscomb, as well (go Bisons!). Alex found Psychology by way of her Nursing major. She realized during a psych rotation that she had an affinity for connecting with her patients rather than tending to their physical ailments.

Alex specializes in treating children, adolescents, couples and families. Her authenticity irreverence make her approachable and transparent. She lives by the motto, "What you see is what you get." Alex is interested in working with clients who have family conflict, personality and mood disorders, or have been through traumatic experiences.

In her free time, Alex enjoys traveling and listening to music. Don't ask her who her favorite band is, though. Growing up in Memphis surrounded by music has caused her to be obsessed with all types of tunes. You can usually find Alex doing some type of physical activity - her current W.O.C. (workout of choice) is Barre. She's a health-food junkie but admits that she can down a bag of HOT chips in one fell swoop!
